Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Cleito desktop application ("Cleito", "the application"). The application is provided by Mauricio Etienne, an independent software developer based in Mexico ("we", "us"). By installing or using Cleito, you agree to these terms.
The application
Cleito is a desktop AI-assistant application that runs on your computer. It connects to third-party services (such as Google and Microsoft) on your behalf, using credentials you provide, to perform tasks you request — for example reading and drafting email, managing your calendar, or updating your contacts.
Your accounts and credentials
You are responsible for the accounts you connect to Cleito and for keeping your computer secure. Cleito stores credentials on your device using the operating system's keystore; we do not have access to those credentials.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cleito to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or otherwise abuse messaging services.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account.
- Reverse-engineer, redistribute, or modify the application except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Third-party services
Cleito interacts with third-party services on your behalf. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms (for example Google's Terms of Service, Microsoft's Services Agreement, and the terms of the language-model provider you choose). We are not responsible for the availability, content, or behaviour of third-party services.
AI-generated content
Cleito uses language models to generate suggestions, drafts, and summaries. Output produced by language models can be inaccurate or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing any draft, message, or action before confirming it.
No warranty
The application is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of the application.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the application evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the application or this website. Continued use of the application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
